The Fault Line in the Graphic Design world... Think New Madrid (alright, look it up).

Small business has been under attack from the techno world for years. Point and Case: I Began my voyage into the fine arts universe as a sign painter. What is that? You might ask. In the stone ages of rotary dial phones attached to the kitchen walls, people wanted to advertise on the side of a truck. They had to have a real artist with paints do the art or lettering. How unique! Some were far better than others and the industry was full of creative person-power. But now, we splash full murals down the side of a trailer that was simply "born' in the studio with fonts, photography and motherboards. Viola! Ship that image to a 'wrap' house and dudes with squeegees will do the rest. Even the venerable gold leaf perfectionist - I was in that category - was replaced by the vinyl revolution. Fire trucks with burled gold now are ordained with burled-looking plastic. Close, but no real substitute. Okay. Enough cynicism. Fortunately, this old dog has kept up with the new tricks and I haven't been kicked to the side of the road yet. Come to me for a 'wrapping' good time, as well. Peace and safe passage, always! Marc
